    • Thank you so much dear Indah ❤ And apologies for my late reply and being 'quiet' on your blog. It's been a busy few days, and I've been away from the computer 😦 Again, I appreciate you take the time to view this 'older' image. I love squirrels, and am happy if you can enjoy them too. I'll post a new squirrel photo later today – just made it yesterday 🙂

        • Yes, that’s right 🙂 I do wedding photos for my professional work, and love to relax with ‘animal therapy’ after busy wedding ceremonies. As you noticed, I like taking photos of people too, but it’s a challenge for me to do street photography, because many people here are strict about their privacy. I can understand their feelings 😉

          • I see! Gin and I are almost the complete opposite haha, we try to avoid people at all cost, we prefer nature and wildlife, we do take the occasional photographs of each other, but that’s as far as my skills in portraiture goes I’m afraid 😛

          • My husband & I are the same as you & Gin 🙂 We prefer to be surrounded by nature (and quiet) instead of people & big city. Which is a big irony, because we live in Tokyo 😀 😀

          • Although he is a great photographer, my husband is not a photographer yet. But, I keep hope 😉 We both dream to live in a more quiet place someday, and of course visit Africa… But for now, we face reality and live in the city, because most jobs are here… 😀

          • Ah we all strive to be a better photographer, wish I have more time to take photos.
There are certainly worse places to live than Tokyo, Japanese culture is quite interesting, I’d love the chance to visit there 🙂

          • Yes, you’re right! We all strive to improve 🙂 I hope you & Gin will have the opportunity to visit Japan someday. There is beautiful *nature* here too – Yakushima & Shiretoko, and other nice places. My husband & I dream to visit the African continent, and Europe someday 🙂

  1. This is wonderful, Takami! Your squirrels look so different from ours. This is a fabulous close-up with such interesting detail. I have tried and tried, but I’ve still to get a good squirrel shot. But then, I probably have not been patient enough! I’m learning from you what it takes to get a good nature shot. :))

    • Thank you for your kind words, and I’m happy you liked this photo. Again, I was very lucky with this squirrel as he (she!) was very preoccupied with more important matters, and couldn’t be bothered with me 😀 😀

  2. When I saw this photo I first thought “ooooh kawaiiii” then I thought this photo show the nails of the squirrel in details! It’s impressive!
Generally when I see your pictures I think it looks very professionnal. Not fuzzy and original!
    Keep photographing 🙂

    • So glad you liked it! For me, it’s challenging to take a nice photograph of squirrels, because they move so quickly. But this squirrel stayed still long enough for me to snap some shots 🙂
