  1. I like your black and white study–I especially love the way the flowers pop out on the balcony. I agree that there is much to learn and appreciate about black and white photography with dept and texture. I’m just starting to play with it myself. I love colour photography so much, that often it is hard for me to pull away from the draw of colour. But I think that stripping away the distraction of colour from my photography allows me to see the world differently, hopefully giving me more opportunity to expand by using black and white to focus in on a different kind of beauty and hopefully help me to hone better skills in composition, exposure, and the use of light and shadow (contrast). Very nice post. I look forward to more. ~ Jeannie

    • Dear Jeannie,
Thank you so much for your kind words and feedback! I am finding b&w to be very enjoyable, and (as you pointed out) a great way to improve in areas such as exposure and contrast. I always love visiting your site, seeing your beautiful photographs, and receiving positive energy 😀
      Warm regards,
      Takami

    • I’m really glad you like it 🙂 There was a surprise rainstorm today, and I thought: “boy oh boy, it’s a perfect photo opportunity!” I’ve always had a fascination with b&w, because (in my humble opinion) there is so much depth and texture to be explored through it. It’s one of my goals to experiment/play around with more this year. As you already know, big cats make wonderful b&w subjects 😀
