Thank you so much for your kind words!!! 😀
Oh my goodness he’s gorgeous with beautiful colours
Yes, this was a very beautiful cat! 😀
Takami,
I have to say this is one of my favorite of your cat photos. It’s bright, the eye-level is great (you got down on the cat’s level), the composition is good and the cat is engaged: I daresay he is interested in you as you are in him!
In the US, street cats that have been caught, spayed or neutered, to prevent them from continued reproducing, then released back to their environments get their left ears notched to indicate they’ve been fixed. Most of the feral cats I feed each day have notched ears, thanks to the efforts and donations of people who care and act to help our street cat population. Do they also notch ears in Japan for the same purpose, Takami?
Best regards,
Earl
I really appreciate your feedback and kind words 😀
To my knowledge, some of the local governments/animal shelters do have workers (and volunteers) who will fix the stray cats and then return them to their environment. Some of these ‘fixed’ cats will be given a collar to show they have been taken care of. I was completely unaware of the meaning behind notched ears (thanks for teaching me something new!) so I’ll try to find out if Japan does the same thing 🙂
Beautiful shots! What is Zazzle?
Thank very much for the kind words!
To answer your question, Zazzle is an online retailer that allows me to upload images and create my own merchandise, or buy merchandise created by other users 🙂
Hmm. Thanks. I must check. It out!
Wonderful capture of this gorgeous cat. I love the way it’s looking through the grass. Beautiful light and bokeh. Nice work, Takami :))
Many thanks for the kind words Jeannie! Compared to the other cats in the area, this one was quite skittish, and wouldn’t stay in the same place for long. I was actually snapping photos of another cat when I felt someone/something’s gaze. I turned around, and lo and behold, she was looking right at me with those amazing eyes ❤ She allowed me to take exactly 2 snapshots before scampering off 😀
Gorgeous photo, gorgeous cat. Are you sure she’s a street cat (despite the ear)? She looks so clean and well-cared for!
Thank you, on behalf of the cat 🙂
Street cats (at least the ones I’ve come across in Tokyo) actually have a pretty good life here. They are often fed (sometimes too much!) by neighbors and salarymen on their way to work/home, are oooohed and ahhhhed and pampered. That being said, it may very well be that this cat is a domesticated cat who is enjoying life outdoors before returning home (?). If animals could speak… 😀
That’s indeed a beautiful picture of a cat…..kawaii neko!!!I like the colours. If it doesn’t have a master i would gladly adopt it^^hehe…Ooh,i noticed its left ear is cut at the top….kawaisou…snif!
I’m glad you like it! 😀
Yes, I noticed the cut on the left ear, too 😦 I think life is hard for a street cat…
