  1. An amazing picture my friend, it’s been awhile since I’ve been here and I didn’t see anywhere to comment on your latest picture “Summer’s End”. Thus, I thought I would take it back to “Summer’s Beginning” just so you would know that I was at least still alive. I really wasn’t planning on continuing with the Blog this year, and things have been so crazy around here. But I got to thinking about the few who make it worthwhile, and the next thing I knew, I was posting another batch of pictures. Guess I’ll just have to see where that takes me. I do hope these pictures find you healthy and happy. Take care now.

    • Hello my friend!!
Thank you so much for taking time to look at this older image, and for your wonderful comment. My apologies for the long silence. Things have also been hectic here, and I haven’t been able to be as active with photography as much as I want to (which is quite painful, as you can imagine!). I of course noticed you made some new photos on your WordPress blog, and always make it my business to stop by and admire. The most recent one shows your beautiful city in her full autumn glory, and I love them all!
I promise to be more active and start catching up soon.
Just wanted to say how much I appreciate your encouragement!

      Warm wishes,
      Takami

  2. ohayo gozaimassu from Toulouse, France! 🙂 I’m a neko-lover… ❤ glad to have come across your awesome blog: I've been to Nihon 4 times, I love it and I often miss it… domo arigato and have a pleasant weekend! cheers, Mélanie aka Merani-san 🙂

    • Hello Mélanie,
はじめまして。Thank you very much for visiting my blog, and your kind comment. You live in a beautiful country, and I hope to visit France someday 🙂
      Kind regards,
      Takami

  3. Another amazing neko picture!!!!!!This one is sooo lovely!!!!The pose is magic(looks like the cat is on a throne^^)& the sun light focuses on its face.I like this picture^^Also it’s true cats are very agile & flexible,i mean standing this way on a tree…..without trembling & falling down…..Can a human being do better??^^hehe
    とにかく、それは非常に美しい写真です。Takami,私はあなたの才能を賞賛!

  4. P.S. I forgot to mention earlier that I adore turtles and frogs and was delighted that you saw them in your park while out for your daily jog. Turtles are rare here. They only live in a small area of our province and I’ve never seen one here. It would be such a treat to be able to come across one in the park! :))

    • I ❤ turtles and frogs too. When we go jogging at night, we have to be careful to not accidentally step on one 😉 Just the other day, there was a baby turtle right on the jogging path, so we moved it to a safer area.
I hope you'll have a chance to come across a turtle in your area too! I'm sure you'd make beautiful pictures.

  5. I love this! The cat looks so comfortable and regal. I like your description – she really looks like a queen! The light is so bright and summery and the green bokeh has a perfect soft early summer feel. Your patience definiately paid off! Very nice shot, Takami.

    • Wow, thank you for your generous praise Randall!
This particular cat seemed very wary of everyone, never staying in one place for too long (smart kitty!). I just waited patiently, tried not to impose myself and hoped for a stroke of good luck.

Lo and behold, she climbed up the tree, and decided to stay there for a while. She truly looked like a queen watching over her domain 😀

      • Isn’t fun when the subject helps us with our photography! Patience is always the virtue many photographers forget when shooting, but it is clear for you that you had it and it worked out very well 🙂

        • If there’s one thing I can do fairly well (even at my beginner’s stage), I like to think that it’s being patient and waiting (and waiting, and waiting…) for the right opportunity 😀

Of course I realise it’s important to know when to simply “let go” and try again another day 😉

  6. Please!! While I like the picture, we have a sizzling summer here. The temperature will touch 46 degrees Centigrade today. I hope it is better on Sunday, when I will be out with my camera!

    • 46 degrees C!!!
You’re absolutely right, our “summer” can’t compete with that! Maybe I should change the title of this photo to: ‘it’s still Spring…’ 😀
Thank you so much for stopping by and commenting. Hope you can stay cool 🙂
