    • You’re too generous, Kanemoto-san、恐縮です!
But I’m glad you liked the おっとっと and Whoops combo! When I saw the duckling flapping his wings as if his life depended on it, those 2 words were the first to come to mind 😀

  1. Amazing how you were able to get these photos. You must have a very calm energy around you and Nature knows how to trust you. Great shots, one that I truly enjoyed and which brought smiles to my face. Thank you. Love, Amy

    • Hello Amy ❤
Thank you very much for your nice comment. I'm delighted to know you enjoyed these small ducklings. Nature, and photographing animals is the best 'therapy' for me. When the daily grind drags me down, I remember to go back to nature and appreciate the good things 🙂 Again, thank you!
      Hugs,
      Takami

  2. look at those cutties, I bet they don´t have cold with them huddle around.Almost like the rugby players!

And what happened to the first picture? The little thing tried to fly and…… almost.

    • Hello Randall,
Thank you so much for your visits, likes, and most of all, nice comments!
Ducklings always bring a smile to my face. I love how their out-of-proportion-ness and how they just seem to dive straight into things. And, they always seem to be smiling 😀 😀

    • Thank you so much dear Melanie-san!
I love ducks and ducklings too ❤ I agree, it's wonderful & inspiring to see the mother duck bring up her young kids, even in the dangerous world 🙂

  4. Ha! Ha! I LOVE these shots, Takami! Oh, these little guys always send me—they are so fun and so life-affirming. And I totally agree that a single duckling could melt the iciest heart! I love the wonderfully awkward stance you captured in the first shot—it’s very fun. I also love that the shot is so sharp you can perfectly see the water droplets on the feathers. And, as always, I love the focus on the eyes. And there’s only one thing better than a duckling shot, and that’s a bunch of ducklings! Totally adorable! My partner loves your shots too. Thanks for bringing a ray of sunshine to our day! Wishing you and yours a lovely day! :))

    • Hello Jeannie! ❤
Oh, I am delighted if these duckies could bring a smile (and a good hearty laugh) to you and your partner's faces 🙂 In many ways, they remind me of the Danbo Brothers with their 'can do' attitude and apparent fearlessness in taking on new challenges. I really could learn a thing or two from them 😉

What charmed me most was the movement of these little guys. Being babies – and not quite in proportion, haha! – their little webbed feet were so huge compared to the rest of them. They would shake their little tails and try to scamper off after their Mum. However, sometimes their big feet would affect their coordination (as you can see in the first shot) and they'd flap their teeny tiny wings frantically in order to regain their balance. In the second shot you see one duckling trying to plow through the crowd, and he too, was about to lose his balance. It was so cute – I burst out laughing on several occasions. I wouldn't be surprised if other folks thought I was missing a few marbles 😉 What really impressed me was, not once did I catch them falling over, and once in the water, they were naturals!

Thank you again for your comments. They made my day!
Hope the weather is much more pleasant in your neck of the woods 🙂 🙂

    • Hello Herve,
Good day from cloudy Tokyo 🙂
Thank you always, for your kind words! I’m happy you adore these small ducks. They are so cute, and full of energy. I wish you a beautiful day in your beautiful country!
      Best wishes,
      Takami

    • Thank you so much for the kind words, Gigi! Your artwork & photos are full of meaning and beautiful too ❤ I think we all can learn a little from the 'can-do' attitude of these small ducklings. Wishing you a great day.
      Warmly,
      Takami

    • Hello Maria,
      Aren’t they adorable? 🙂
Ducklings can melt even the iciest of hearts and bring a smile to anyone who’s having a bad day. I would love to send them to you if I could! I wish I could bring them home with me too 🙂 🙂
