  3. Takami, I like these photos very much! They’re such beautiful, majestic animals. I especially love the (top) photo where they are together. Thank you for sharing; just looking at your wonderful pictures makes me happy! 🙂

  4. Yes, at last we meet! It’s so wonderful to see these gorgeous Sumatran twin tiger cubs. I especially love that first shot—you really succeeded in capturing the beauty and majesty of these incredible creatures. Their markings and colours are so striking. The second shot is great too—I love the way she’s peeking out from the grass. What a great opportunity to observe and photograph these amazing animals. Very nice work, Takami! I look forward to seeing more! Wishing you and your partner a wonderful day! :))

    • Hello Jeannie 🙂 🙂
Thank you so much for making my day with your comment. If you look carefully at the first shot (and I didn’t realise it until I saw the photo on a large screen) you can see the markings of Mama Tiger behind the cubs! I didn’t realise at the time, but she was – like all good mothers – staying close to her cubs, making sure they were OK. For the 2nd shot, I ‘knew’ from the start that it should be in b&w 😉

I look forward to sharing more tiger photos with you soon.
Wishing you and your partner a lovely remainder of the week too ❤

      • Hello Takami! I just checked out that photo in large again. I looked at it large before, but somehow thought that mama in the background was part of the cub. But, of course, I can see now that it’s not! Thanks for mentioning that. It’s a beautiful photo! :))

  5. The first shot is so perfect ~ it is like they were waiting just for you to capture this moment for them, forever etching it in time 🙂 Wonderful ~ and I hope all is well as we enter the winter months. Take care Takami!

    • Hello Randall,
Wow, thank you so much for your comment and feedback. I’d daydreamed many times to try and make photos like the first shot, and it was very cool to come a little closer to that ‘dream.’ These sisters have such different personalities, but they still seem to get along very nicely 🙂 Mama Tiger (she’s also featured on my blog ‘banner photo’) is also stunning and I hope to show more of her in future posts.

I also hope the winter will be good for you, and of course for all the citizens in HK. This may sound ignorant (sorry!) but does it get very cold in Hong Kong?

      Best,
      Takami

      • Hi Takami, this tiger family has show-business in all its members ~ the Mama Tiger is awesome on your banner photo. Winter is going well. HK does not get too cold (10-12 degrees at it coldest), but we have no central heating so it feels very CHILLY. I am back in Seattle for the Christmas holiday and will be here for a couple of months ~ and it is a bit colder (and rainy…). I think you have had a very cold winter already 🙂
        Take care of yourself ~

        • 10-12 degrees without central heating is very chilly indeed! We also have no central heating, so I’m sure you can imagine 😉

How lovely to spend the holidays in beautiful Seattle! I hope you can make many nice photographs, in addition to enjoying your holiday, of course 🙂 Thanks again, for answering my question so patiently.

    • Hello Herve,
Thank you very much, your kind words always give me encouragement 🙂
These small tigers are beautiful, cute, and full of life. It’s my pleasure to share them with you!
      Warm wishes,
      Takami

    • Hello Sreejith,
Thank you so much for your feedback! I’m thrilled you liked the photos, especially the first one. It is my first time to see Sumatran tiger babies, and it was a real pleasure and honour to spend so many hours with them 🙂
      Best wishes,
      Takami

    • Thank you! I also felt these twin girls are lovely representatives of the beautiful Sumatran tigers. Their mother is a beauty too, and so competent. All the zookeepers are amazed and say they can’t believe she’s a first-time Mum 🙂
