  1. Your photos are so beautiful, and they make those cats look so peaceful. Sometimes it is hard to remember the power contained in the frames of those young tigers, and how easily they could become extremely threatening. You are an amazing photographer, my friend. Keep it up.

    • Dear David,
You humble me with your compliments, and genuine encouragement.
When I feel like I’ve ‘hit a wall’ with my photography, comments like yours encourage me to keep going 🙂 Thank *you* for the inspiration!
      Your friend,
      Takami

    • Thank you so much for your nice comment!
I’m delighted you enjoyed some of my photos, and happy you like the bilingual titles. I come up with a title/theme in Japanese (my primary language), and then think of an appropriate English expression that would – hopefully – convey the same meaning 🙂

I sincerely hope you’ll stop by again!
      Warm wishes,
      Takami

  2. Would be so easy to look at that face and think what an adorable baby, and I bet he or she could take quite a bite out of someone.
    Hope you had happy holidays.

    • Happy New Year, Elizabeth!
Thank you so much for your comment! I’m thrilled to know you enjoy my photos 🙂
Here’s to a fresh new start for both of us! ❤ 🙂
      Warmly,
      Takami

  3. Whoa! Absolutely stunning photos, Takami. The last one I double whoaed, and how you managed to get that expression at that moment boggles my mind! Happy New Year, my friend. Love, Amy

    • Hello Amy! ❤
      Happy New Year!!
Wow, thank you for your generous comment. I'm glad you liked this little tigress. I don't really remember how I 'snapped' this photo (because I was 'whoa-ing' myself!) but fortunately my hands remained steady enough…and it was a big help that I was using a zoom lens and not quite so close to this kitty 😀
Looking forward to another great year with you.
      Love,
      Takami 🙂

    • Dear Emy ❤
      Thank you so much!
May 2015 be a better one for us, and for everyone in this world.
Thanks again, for all your efforts for the rights of our furry friends.
I hope my humble photos can help even one person to appreciate this world, and that we humans should learn to live in harmony with nature and with each other. It seems far-fetched – especially with all the terrible events that have happened this year – but, I still want to keep hope… 🙂
      Takami ❤

    • Thank you, my friend ❤
It was a pleasure to meet you this year and learn so many wonderful things from your site. My very best wishes to you too, and I look forward to sharing more photos with you in 2015 🙂

    • Thank you so much for your comment!
I’m delighted you enjoyed this feisty tiger cub, as you can see, she has quite the personality 😉 I wish you and your family a very Happy New Year, and look forward to seeing more of your beautiful photography in 2015.
      Warm wishes,
      Takami

    • Hello Lindy,
Thank you very much for stopping by and leaving a comment 🙂
Fortunately I wasn’t too close (physically) to this big cat – thank goodness for zoom lenses – but even through the viewfinder I could feel her power and strength! As cute as she is, I wouldn’t want to mess with this kitty 😀
Wishing you many, many good things in the New Year too!!
      Best wishes,
      Takami

  4. Awesome shots my friend. I got a sneaking suspicion that you were getting out of there in a bit of a hurry though after the last one. Lol. Happy New Year.

    • Many thanks!!
You’re right, we (there were quite a few of us photographing the cubs this day) were looking towards the exit after the ‘cute kitty’ made it clear she was ready for some action, LOL 😀 Wishing you and your family a very Happy New Year too!
      Your friend,
      Takami

    • Hello Randall,
I’m glad you’re enjoying the winter holidays! Haha, I really liked the first shot too – the cub looked so content and at peace with the world…and then, her sister passed by… 😉 Ah the joys of having siblings!
Wish you and your family a very Happy New Year 🙂
      Best wishes,
      Takami

    • Thank very much for all your visits, ‘likes’ and words of encouragement! It was a real pleasure to meet you through photography, and share a little bit of our worlds. I sincerely look forward to following your wonderful site in 2015 🙂 🙂

    • Thank you so much Deb!! I can’t believe only 2 days remain in the year, my how time flies 🙂 I hope you also have a fantastic new year, and look forward to sharing more adventures in 2015. Thank you so much for all your comments, and for taking time to look at my photos this year ❤

      • Takami, I have so enjoyed looking at your photos this year and anxiously wait to see what you’ll delight us with in 2015! Wishing you and yours a wonderful New Year!

  5. Hello Takami! How wonderful to see the many faces of this beautiful tiger cub. I love seeing the natural wild predator behaviour of this amazing creature. It’s good to know that its innate abilities are alive and well, and so beautifully portrayed here too! Wishing you and your husband Happy Holidays! Be happy and have fun!!! :))

    • Hello Jeannie, good morning from cold and rainy Tokyo!
I hope you and your partner had a happy Christmas with the Danbo Bros, and are staying warm and cozy in spite of the winter cold. As always, thank you so much for your comment, and taking a moment to look at this tiger cub! You’re right, her innate abilities are alive and well – Mama Tiger and Sister Tiger keep her on her toes 🙂 It’s so easy to get lost in the ‘awww, soooo cute’ part of these cubs (as they are indeed beyond adorable) but – like all cats – we can never let our guard down! 😀

I was actually able to spend Christmas day with the cubs, and hope to share photos from that day, along with many others, in the new year. Now, if only I can get myself to sort through all the files… 🙂 Have a great week and new year!!

      • I’m so glad to hear that you got to spend Christmas day with the cubs, Takami! Wishing you and your husband a very Happy New Year, my friend! Thank you for sharing your your beautiful spirit and wonderful photography with us! ~ Jeannie :))

    • Hello Herve,
Thank you very much for your comment! This small tiger is small, but very strong 🙂 I hope you also had a Merry Christmas. I’m so happy to meet you this year, and look forward to sharing more photos in 2015 🙂
      Best wishes,
      Takami

  6. I always look forward to your posts – they make me smile! I have had the chance to play with tiger cubs twice – they are cute, but you don’t turn your back! Hope you have a blessed Christmas.

    • Thank you so much Kathy.
It must have been an exciting and very special experience to play with tiger cubs! As you say, they are so adorable, but they are indeed tigers 😉

It’s a real pleasure to meet you through photography this year and I look forward to sharing more adventures with you in 2015. Happy, happy holidays!

      Best wishes,
      Takami

    • メラニー様
      こちらこそ、今年は色々ありがとうございました☆メラニーさんに出会えたことを本当に嬉しく思います。来年もどうぞよろしくお願いします。良いお年を〜!

    • Thank you so much, Jo! ❤
It was a real pleasure to meet you this year. I hope the new year will continue to bring you much health, happiness and of course, lots of good things to write about 🙂
      Best wishes,
      Takami

PS I still keep hope that my cards will reach you someday… 😉

      • Thank you Takami – it’s been wonderful to meet you too! The post office here is a mess, although they still insist they have my parcels – your lovely cards, my big order of my own books and also quite a few other books and things. I’m going to reorder my batch of paper books next week and choose the courier instead, and I’m going to visit your site and choose some more postcards and buy them myself and get them sent to a friend’s P O Box number, so I’ll definitely have those. I hope the new year will bring you all you wish for and much more my lovely friend. ❤ 🙂
