わたしたちは元気いっぱいです。こう見えても実は仲良しなんです(笑)/Believe it or not, we get along quite well. We are tigers, after all 🙂

    • Hello Randall 🙂
Many thanks for your comment. I’m delighted you liked this little series. I wanted to experiment and include some ‘motion’ (blurry) shots to show how active these cats are! I’m happy if it could show indeed their wildness (and boy do they get rowdy!) and their friendship 😀

    • Hello Ruth!
Thank you for your comment, and apologies for my late reply. I’m finally getting around to answer the wonderful comments 🙂
To answer your question, yes, the sisters are the same age (twins!) and I agree they are so beautiful ❤
      Warm wishes,
      Takami

  2. Interestingly, we went looking for the elusive tiger in Corbett Tiger Reserve, about 300 km from where we live, in its natural habitat, uncaged, in an open jeep. But the big cat turned out to be elusive. All we got were pugmarks and in a certain place shaking bushes which, the guide said with certainty, was because there was a tiger there. We did come across deer, langurs (type of monkey), elephants, several types of birds, but no tiger 😦

I agree, it is interesting (and ironic) how easy it is to view the rare Sumatran tiger in a zoo, when it’s so hard to find them in their natural habitat. Still, it would be wonderful to see their natural home with my own eyes someday… 🙂

  3. のような、愛、崇拝する… ❤ 例外的な2015を持っている!健康、インスピレーション、愛と楽観のトン… friendly thoughts, Merani – catlover of small & big cats… 🙂

  4. Great series, Takami! I love the motion blur. You really captured the sisters’ playful side well. I especially love the last photo. I love the eyes, and, of course, the beauty of their markings is remarkable. Nice work! Wishing you a very happy day, my friend! :))

    • Thank you Jeannie! These photos were taken on Christmas Day. It was cold and rainy, which meant not so many visitors to the zoo. However, these cubs were having a blast, and I had a fine time spending a few hours with them without the crowds 🙂 I’m delighted you liked this big kitty series 😀 ❤

    • Thank you very much for your comment, and for choosing to ‘follow’ my humble blog 🙂 I was able to discover yours via Bob’s site (Northwest Photographer) and sincerely look forward to following your site too. I hope you’ll continue to enjoy my photos, you’re always welcome to stop by.
      Best wishes,
      Takami

    • Thank you for your positive comment Kathy 🙂 🙂
These 2 are so much fun to watch. It must be tiring for Mama Tiger to keep watch on her babies, but they are just too irresistible 😀
      Takami 🙂

    • Hello David, and good evening from Tokyo!
I couldn’t agree more with your comment 🙂
At 5 months they are growing rapidly, but still have ‘kitty-like’ features that brings a smile to everyone. I agree they are very beautiful, and I think they’re aware of it too 😀

    • Thank you very much Emy! ❤
These little tigresses are adorable. Their caretaker gave a wonderful talk to the visitors, emphasizing the importance of conservation and awareness for our non-human friends 🙂

    • Hi Deb!! Happy 2015 🙂
So happy to know you enjoyed the twins 😀 At 5 months, they’re getting big very quickly, but – as you expressed perfectly – they still have ‘kittenish’ characteristics. I’m trying to visit them as much as I can, especially since each day brings a new adventure for them 🙂 Thanks again for your comment ❤

    • Hello Rajiv,
So nice to receive a comment from you 🙂
I’m glad their ‘innocence’ showed in the photos, because that’s exactly what I was hoping to portray 😉 They’re 5 months old now, and getting big…but compared to their beautiful mother (in the first photo, and also the ‘banner photo’ of the blog) they are still quite small 😀
