  1. I like the look in their eyes…clearly looking and chasing something, and just having a great time. Such powerful cats, but so beautiful that they seem so serene as well. Beautiful shots Takami!

    • Thank you Randall! You are too kind with your generous comments 😀 As you know, I love photographing these cats so much. If others can get some viewing pleasure from them, it totally makes my day!

  2. Lovely one there buddy! I do really like both of them first of all I thought it is a single photo, but examining it closely I found it is separated by the tree’s trunk. 😉 I guess my brain are functioning right!! 🙂 Ohh, Yes Happy New Year!!! As per I am from India, does this allow me to celebrate it?

    Your bud! Take Care !!
    Swetank.

    • Hello my buddy,
Yes, you’re right, I combined 2 photos into one. You have sharp eyes 🙂 I thought it would be interesting to try to experiment with my images like this. I think it’s fun 😉 And of course you can celebrate Lunar New Year! Everyone is welcome!
      Your friend,
      Takami

    • Dearest Amy ❤
Thanks a million for your generous comment. I'm honoured if my photos can bring emotions (hopefully positive ones!) to folks who stop by and look. Thank *you* for always sharing amazing art with us.
      Hugs,
      Takami

      • You are SO welcome, friend!!! It is someone like you who encourages me to keep bringing amazing images to Petals. YOU and so many others, have assisted me in ways that leaves me with no doubt, if it were not for you, I would not be where I am today in my Life. For this I am truly grateful. (((HUGS))) Amy

      こんばんは。コメントありがとうございます!野生動物の成長は本当に早いものですね。こちらの仔トラちゃんたち、体が大きくなっても仕草に子どもらしいところが残っているのでまだまだ可愛いです♡(^^)

  3. Oh, wow, Takami — this is a wonderful photo! Love the composition. And those eyes — they’re amazing! Thank you for sharing your photographic gift with the rest of us … and have a great day! 🙂

    • Hello Deb ❤
As always, thank you so much for your comments. And please accept my apologies for my late reply (I have been reading your blog – your latest post really made me choke up with emotion) and lack of comments. It's been a hectic week 😦

Encouraging comments like yours really make all the hours of waiting worth it 🙂 It's really my pleasure if some of my photos can bring happiness to those who view them. Thanks a million!

    • Hello my friend Hervé,
Excuse me please, my late reply. Thank you very much for your comment! I am honoured you like the Mother and baby Tiger. They are very beautiful and majestic 🙂
      Greetings from sunny Tokyo! 🙂

      • Good evening my friend Takami
It does not matter for the delay, you pass when you can at home …
Thank you for your kind reply.
Greetings from rainy Villers Cotterets …

    • Thank you Lindy! Yes, I would not want to be in Mama’s way when she has that ‘look.’ Actually, one of the 2 cubs was heading towards the barrier of the enclosure, and I got the feeling that Mama Tiger didn’t want her baby to get too close to the humans. Hence the Killer Look 🙂

    • Thank you Maria! This was shot at one of my favourite zoos – they make a special effort to build large enclosures with as ‘natural’ a setting as possible. I combined two shots shot separately (but on the same day) because I could really start to see the similarities between mother & daughter. It’s so much fun observing the cubs grow!

    • Thank you so much Kathy! I know you love tigers, so I’m glad you liked this little comparison of Mama Tiger and cub (she’s one of 2 spunky twin girls). Yes, they grow so quickly. I love watching them grow stronger and more confident each passing week 🙂
