    • Thank you Randall! It was one of those days when everything fell into place so wonderfully and beautifully. The best part was that most of the photographers were looking in the opposite direction, so it was like a private session 😀

(ashiakira@jcom.zaq.ne.jp)。

    • Thank you dear Aquileana ❤
This Kingfisher bird was a natural "model" – he seemed accustomed to posing for photographers and admirers 🙂 Wishing you a happy Spring my friend!

  2. I love this birdie and your pix are simply “jewels”… ❤ I took several pix of the kingfisher in Beppu, Kyushu last year – it was raining, but the photos are fine! 🙂

  3. That’s a beautiful picture to come back to after 7 days offline, while I waited for the service to be hooked up at my new apartment. It was certainly worth the wait. You have a wonderful week now.

    • Hello my friend! Sorry for my belated reply – I’m finally catching up on comments after a hectic few weeks. I do hope you’re settling into your new home!

As always it’s gratifying to read your comments and to know my photos are being enjoyed. This Kingfisher was a very photogenic model and a natural ham – he seemed accustomed to being the center of attention! 🙂 Spring has finally arrived in all her glory – just recently I had the privilege of seeing a wild duck family with young chicks in tow! I hope to share some snapshots soon.

God bless and wishing you a great remainder of the week!

      • Our two cities must be in sync this year, for Spring just arrived in full force here also (I hope). I was even able to take a book for a walk and do some reading in one of the local parks. I also just got back on-line after 4 days absence, so my comments and email are also piled up and waiting for my attention. It’s a battle they are very likely to lose to the sunshine pouring in my window. : ) I’ll let you know how that turns out. You all take care now and enjoy the weather while it lasts (Christmas is just around the corner).

  4. if that little bird only knew his picture was being shared 1/2 way around the globe 🙂 I did click the larger image as well as the magnification option. Those are brilliant colors!

    • Thank you so much! 🙂
Yes, I wonder what he would think if he knew. There were many photographers and admirers on this day – he seemed very nonchalant about it, a complete natural at posing 🙂
