Wow, love it ❤️
Thank you! 😀 ❤
My pleasure ❤️
Well captured beautiful photo. I think that I have seen this kind of bird live in the nature. Thank You.
Hello Matti-san、こんにちは!
Thank you always for your kind words. Yes, these birds live in nature in many countries of the world. They are also the “national bird” of Japan. In my street, we have open fields, and the pheasants happily live there. Sometimes, they come to rest next to my home! 🙂 It makes me very happy, and they are always welcome.
Wishing you and your family a good day!
The power of love! Wooing is an art few can master.
The power of love indeed! He seemed very skilled at his craft, because a few days later, he was happily and proudly walking with his mate. I hope to share that photo soon 🙂 As always, thank you for your comment.
Bravo! Looking forward to cheering the winsome pair.
Thank you! I will post them in the next few weeks 🙂
Ah gorgeous! Well, sometimes they behave a little bit silly, but it is compensated by their grand looks 🙂 It is always a pleasure to watch them and admire the colors of Nature.
Thank you dear Inese ❤ So happy to see you hear again. Yes, pheasants sometimes have habits that appear "comical" to people…but I can imagine that birds and animals feel the same about us 🙂 The pheasants are beautiful birds, and it's a real pleasure to have them as my neighbours 🙂
Haha, I only imagine what they think of us 🙂
I know a few places where I can see a pheasant, and it is always a pleasure. The females are sweet mothers, and sometimes I see the chicks too, but never had a chance to take a picture of them as they disappear very swift. Last year I came across a female killed on the country road. I picked her up and took to the grass away from the road. Was surprised how tiny her body was. Hoped she would be alive, just shocked. Don’t know.
Oh, how sad that must have been! I felt my eyes tearing up as I read your comment. As you have already observed, the females are very sweet mothers, and very cautious of people. The adorable chicks on the other hand — they have yet to learn to be cautious at a young age, but soon learn from the wisdom of their parents. I sincerely hope you will have a chance to photograph pheasants again soon. I can imagine what gorgeous photos you will make! I plan to post more photos of pheasants in the coming weeks/comes. They are the national bird of Japan, but few people seem to know that…
I didn’t know! Beautiful bird, I hope you post more pictures. I posted a good few pictures last year. Will check them out in October. They don’t really let me come close, but they don’t mind the cars so I can take a picture from the window. Birds are my favorite models 🙂
That is a beautiful photo!
Thank you Pete. It was “the season of love” and the usually timid pheasants were out in full-force trying to attract potential mates 🙂 I plan to share more pheasant photos (male & female) soon!
What a wonderful capture of Pheasant Pavarotti! It looks like he has a powerful voice 🙂 I wish you a wonderful rest of the summer. Greetings from Sweden!
Hello my dear friend ❤ As always, thank you so much for stopping by (especially while on holiday). Yes, he did indeed have a powerful voice — he was trying very hard to attract a mate (a very beautiful female pheasant – I'll post photos of her another time). "Pheasant Pavarotti" — I love it!! 😀 😀 Wishing you a lovely rest of summer too.
Lovely!
Thank you! He is a handsome bird 🙂
Indeed!
Excellent photo.
Thank you, really appreciate it.
Haha, the pheasant is so enthusiastic! Is it safe to assume that he’s trying to attract a mate?
Haha! Yes, he was indeed trying to impress some of the ladies 😀 His enthusiasm was a joy to behold 🙂
Thank you for sharing. Very beautiful 😊
Thank you for your comment! Yes, he is a beautiful bird 🙂
😊
That WAS soon! 🙂
Great snapshot, Takami.
Thank you Tanja! This moment brought a smile to my face. I plan to post more photos of pheasants (male & female) in the near future 🙂
Thank you for sharing, Takami, your skill and eye for the extraordinary are exceptional, a joy to the beholder.
Thank you so much Peter. Hearing feedback such as yours encourage me to keep this up. Wishing you a lovely weekend!
I love this photo! It looks like that (Pavarotti) bird is singing the final notes of Nessun Dorma.
Mr. Hien, yes (!!!!!) this was the exact image I had in mind when making this image! This male pheasant did indeed make me visualize Pavarotti singing Nessun Dorma 😀 You made my day with your comment 🙂
Delightful. That looks like a happy bird! Hugs.
Thank you Teagan! He was happily calling to his mate 🙂
Hugs to you too ❤
So joyously exquisite, Takami. Ah to celebrate life with such focus!
Thank you Carol! Yes, birds (and other nature/wildlife) remind us to live in the moment. I never get tired of watching them, and it helps that this fellow is my neighbour 🙂
