  1. Your photography is a stunning visual Takami! I’ve missed your work and this was a real treat. The muted background allows the bird to pop forward. Love this. Happy new year.

    • Thank you Noelle! I’m so glad you liked this little bird. Tits do look a little “plain” from the front, but I love their resilience and they’re always so active 🙂 I was so happy this fellow allowed me to glimpse the beautiful olive colors of his rear side 🙂

  2. I agree with Peter’s assessment, Takami. You are truly a gifted photographer. Your works convey the beauty of nature in a manner that honors all of the living beings in your portraits.

    • Thank you so much Carol. I’m thrilled if my respect & love for the photo subjects can be shown through the images. I try to approach each in a humble and respectful manner. Really appreciate your comment ❤

  3. You once told me in a comment here, something to the effect that you wished to be a great wildlife photographer. You have advanced your desire into the sublime. That’s fortunate for us who have stumbled upon your craft. The downside, however, is yours alone. Unlike the dedicated novice who improves with relative ease, the professional gains only hard-won refinements. But it is that very knack for excellence that distinguishes the superior professionals. Congratulations.

    • Dear Peter,
Thank you. Truth be told, your comment made me (and even my husband!) a bit emotional. I wish I could express adequately how much it means, to receive such a generous, yet honest and insightful feedback. Although there are times when I wonder if it’s “worth it” to keep up with the photography, I am reminded – yet again – to keep at it and be diligent in refining each shot. Thank you so much again.
