Helemaal te gek!

Thank you! 🙂
Looks like the bird has adjusted to the altered surroundings provided by humans!
He seemed “adjusted” as long as there were no humans within close distance 🙂 Thank you for your visit and comment!
The bird was still at ease with the car passing by that close? That’s amazing!
Yes indeed, this Green Pheasant boldly stood next to a car for a few moments 🙂
Thank you for your comment!
Beautiful!
Thank you! 🙂
You’re welcome 😇
Hello Takami.
As others praised Your beautiful photo, I too praise it. I am glad that You showed it.
Have a wonderful day!
Thank you, Mr Matti. I am happy you like our national bird. This bird is very shy, but also very charming 🙂
We wish you and your wife a good day!
Beautiful!💓
Thank you😊
Welcome!😉
The detail is exquisite in this image as well as the composition. I just looked and the more I looked the more I saw. Phenomenal, Takami! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Thank you Amy!
Really appreciate you made time to “look” at the images ❤ And your warm words mean a lot to me. I am so happy you like our national bird 🙂
You are so very welcome!! ☺️
Your national bird is a beauty, Takami ❤ I see they are very inquisitive and brave too. I have noticed that pheasants are not afraid of the cars, but when you get out they panic and run away.
Beautiful composition and an untold story behind it.
That’s an interesting point! Now that I recall, they do seem less skittish when humans are inside the cars.
I also love how naturally curious they are when the feel “comfortable” in their environment. The male pheasants are quite striking but I also love the subtle beauty of the females 🙂
As always thanks much for your comment ❤
Always a pleasure to visit your blog, Takami ❤
Wonderful composition, with the blurred out car in the background, Takami.
Thank you, Rabirius. Much appreciated 🙂
Pheasant with traffic in the background, such a cool superposition!
Thank you Sylvie!
I am happy you liked our “national bird.”
I also feel it was so strange and interesting, to see this green pheasant next to cars and the human world 🙂
Most interesting!
What a beautiful bird!
Thank you so much! They are usually so shy and skittish, so it was a treat to see this fellow “strut his stuff” for a few moments.
Blessings! 🙂
Blessings to you both!
That’s an unusual juxtaposition, Takami. Pheasants are usually so shy and take off at the slightest disturbance. I wonder how he ended up in the middle of traffic.
Hello Tanja,
Yes, it is as you say. They are usually so shy and skittish. And who can blame them, when they have been targeted as “hunting game” for so many years?
We are fortunate to have a few green pheasant pairs who live in our neighborhood. We have a marsh/reed field and river nearby, which helps too, I think!
During the Spring/summer months, the male pheasants here become unusually bold, making claim to their territory. Sometimes they come near the road, as you see here. But fortunately, this fellow left quite quickly! 😀
I am glad to know he got away, Takami. You are fortunate to live near some wetlands and a riparian area. Is it home of the kingfishers that make regular appearances on your blog?
While there are indeed some Kingfishers who live near the river, they usually fly past en route to their main destination. Therefore, the kingfishers on my blog are those I have had the good luck of “meeting” on trips to nature sanctuaries and reserves 🙂
I adore your photos!
Thank you Resa!
Much appreciated ❤
Best wishes,
Takami
What a find on a walk! Amazing. Glad to read he got away clean!
Thank you Noelle!
Green pheasants are my neighbors and I often come across them during the Spring/summer months. Usually they are quite skittish and bolt away. But this fellow was quite bold – for just a moment 😀
And aren’t we lucky that he was!!!
Oh my what a lovely shot my friend! Love love love this 🙂
Thank you dear friend!
Pheasants are usually quite shy and skittish, but this fellow seemed to enjoy a quick stroll around the neighborhood 🙂
That sure is sweet. 😊
Powerful juxtaposition of the beauty of life and the invasive effects of technology.
Thank you so much Carol.
It was what I hoped to portray. And it’s the never-ending question – how can we humans learn to be more cooperative with nature (and each other)?
Such crucial questions, Takami, and so difficult to answer…

Beautiful pheasant, Takami, they have such lovely colors. Good gracious, what’s he doing hanging around the road?!! 😲 I hope he made a quick escape and ran/flew out of there and back to safer grounds! 🙂
Thank you Donna!
I agree, they have such lovely colors. And I too was surprised to see this fellow hanging around outside his comfort zone. He was quite bold – as pheasants are usually very skittish. Thankfully, he did make a quick escape! 😀
Maybe he was trying to figure out why the chicken crossed the road! 😅
Ah yes. I do feel he was trying to collect his thoughts and process them 😀
Obviously has no fear!
Pheasants here are usually quite skittish, but he was a bold fellow! 🙂 Thank you for your comment.
Great shot, T! 👍🏼
Thank you!
Best wishes,
Takami 😉
No problem, Takami!
