Thank you for your visit and comment! 🙂
beautiful! perfect capture
Thank you 🙂
What a wonderful picture of a mother’s love! Touching and special!
Thank you Noelle! Really appreciate it, and twice happy you enjoyed another moment with this beautiful Little grebe family 🙂
How lovely moment You captured Takami. Thank You.
Have a good day!
Thank you, Mr. Matti.
I am happy you “visit” this Little grebe family. It was a tender moment between the parent and baby 🙂
Look at this little one! So grown up, indeed 🙂 Is there any other chick in the nest? I love the way they look at each other. I have noticed that the sea birds do this, and obviously the waterfowl do this too. This most charming picture of motherhood is so perfect! ❤
Hello Inese, thank you for your comment ❤
This is the same "Little grebe family" from my previous posts, and yes, all 5 chicks are doing well! In this shot, the other chicks were swimming with "Papa" grebe, so it was a rare moment between one baby and "Mama" grebe 🙂 As you say, sea & water birds seem to gaze upon each other, and it touches my human heart 😀
Oh I am so happy all of them survived so far! My heart skipped a bit when I saw only one chick. This is probably ‘the youngest’, the baby of the family 🙂 Amazing, touching image!
❤
Such an endearing capture, Takami, I cannot stop smiling. Precious and priceless! ❤
Thank you Donna!
I’m so happy this brought a smile to your face 🙂 ❤
Great timing with this one, Takami. Looks like the two birds are very much happy to be around each other, one happy family. Beautifully done 🙂
Thank you, Mabel. I’m happy you could stop by. These birds are “little grebes” – very small, but very spunky water birds. It was a real treat to observe this “parent-chick” moment 🙂
You have indeed captured a very special moment. It is very touching and heartwarming to see the connection between the two.
Thank you. It’s always a treat to quietly observe these beautiful birds. It was even more special to see moments like this. I appreciate your visit!
Awww, so sweet
Thank you 😊
They are a lovely family❤️
What a touching image! Thank you Takami 🙂
Thank you Sylvie!
I am happy you enjoyed this moment.
This Little grebe family is truly wonderful. All “baby” chicks are growing well 🙂
I went back to the earlier photo that showed the adults with several chicks, and this little fellow has had quite a growth spurt. It’s all happening so fast! It’s wonderful when we get to watch wild animals go through their different life stages, Takami.
Hello Tanja,
Yes, it’s the same little grebe/dabchick family! I’m so happy you decided to have another look at the previous photo, that means a lot to me… 🙂
It is as you say, wildlife has to grow-up so quickly, and it is wonderful and a privilege to be able to witness and document some of these moments. It’s a double treat to say that all 5 chicks are flourishing! Thank you again ❤
I am so glad that all 5 are still alive! Thank you for letting me know. I was afraid to ask!
All 5 chicks are doing quite well despite the terrible heat! I hope to share more photos featuring them in the upcoming posts 😀
wonderful
Thank you 🙂
Beautiful!
Thank you!
Welcome!

Thank you 🙂
Is that a baby I see? Looks like one to me. You have the ability to capture what others don’t see. Hope you and the family are doing well.
Thank you for your kind words.
Yes, there is a little tiny chick looking up at the parent bird 🙂 This is the same “little grebe” (dabchick) family who was featured in an earlier post. They are tiny waterbirds, easily missed if you don’t look for them. Fortunately for this family, there were many local residents who watched them with a quiet but loving eye 🙂
So glad you keep an eye on them.
Such a wonderful photo!
Thank you so much!
It felt like a special moment. Blessings 🙂
🙂
So very touching and beautiful. Sweet and gentle, loving and a lesson to us, if we would only pay attention. ❤
Thank you so much. It means a lot❤️
“…if we would only pay attention” – it’s exactly as you say.
This Little Grebe family’s nest was tucked at the edge of the pond. As even the adult birds are quite small (about 26cm), their existence is easily “missed” by most people hurrying past…
Fortunately, many local residents keep a quiet but warm eye on this family. A small moment of genuine humanity…even if only for a moment.
What a touching moment. Just precious, Takami! Beautiful!!
Thank you so much Amy! ❤️🤗🌹
You are so very welcome! 🤗🦋
Exquisite, Takami – such a powerful moment of connection!
Thank you Carol!
It really felt as though there was moment of strong connection. I’m glad to know you felt the same 🙂 ❤
Fantastic.
Thank you, much appreciated!
Another beautiful image of the Dabchicks, well done!
Thank you Brian! Your comment is much appreciated, and I’m happy you enjoyed another moment with this charming Dabchick family 🙂
Best wishes,
Takami
