    • Kingfishers are pretty incredible aren’t they? 🙂 It’s amazing to see them in action but I personally enjoy these “quieter” moments 😀 It’s amazing how you can stumble upon these birds even in the center of Tokyo!

  1. I enjoyed the photos You’r one the few photos of the mother patrent(s) & chicks. We have a saying in the United States If you see a Cardinal a loved one is visiting you. I wish I still had my Cameras I lost all my equpitment & photos when I got placed in a nursing home. Do you have a collection of tigers? I notice one on profile photo & I love Tigers & the stelth, beauty & gentlness they have, with out remove their natural wild side.

    • Hello Tanja, that is a great question indeed! I think the “truth” is somewhere in the middle – this little guy was in a very public place, yet stayed out of sight from most people. It was early evening and most photographers had already called it a day, so it felt like a private session 🙂

    • Thank you dear friend.
As you know I can be cynical and angry towards humans, but nature helps me to regain some balance… 🙂 I am glad this image made you happy. This kingfisher always seemed to be enjoying himself 😉
