He’s spectacular!
He was trying his best to show off the the lady pheasants 😀
Hello Takami.
It is wonderful nature photo. It made me very glad. Thank you.
Have a good day!
Hello Matti-san,
I am very happy you enjoyed our national bird – the green pheasant. Thank you always for your kind comments!
What a lovely and delightful way to introduce us to the new season.
Thank you Atreyee. Your visit and comment is much appreciate it. Our avian friends often give me hope for the future and remind me to stay in the present as well 🙂
Amazing photography and love the vibrant colours in your shot. Love how you framed the pheasant – looks like it is happily sitting back in nature and watching the world. Hope you are doing well 🙂
Thank you Mabel! Really happy you could stop by and I wish I could relay to this pheasant how much admired he is 🙂 We are managing OK and hope it is the same for you and all your dear ones.
Lucky you, Takami. I love pheasants, but in my experience they are fairly shy and don’t often pose for photographs. You captured them very well.
I wish you many more memorable animal encounters this spring.
All the best,
Tanja
Thank you Tanja. As you have observed, pheasants are very skittish and wary of humans (admittedly, I can’t blame them). This fellow is quite literally my next door neighbor and I often pass him by on early morning jog. I wish I could relay to him how much he is admired 🙂
Lucky you, Takami. Please pass on the admiration of the internet the next time you jog past him. 🙂
Very handsome indeed … super photos 🙂
Thank you Julie!
Really appreciate your visit and comment. Hope you and all your loved ones are doing well 🙂
Lovely red highlight there! Hope all is well with you and yours. Stay safe, my friend 😷🙏
Thank you Graham!
We are managing to stay safe and sane 🙂
Hope all is well with you and all your dear ones too!
What a beautiful bird! The colours are mesmerising.
Best Wishes, Charlotte
Thank you Charlotte! Really appreciate your comment. Green pheasants are indeed beautiful birds, and have quite the stage presence 🙂
Best wishes, Takami
He is gorgeous, Takami. Hope you are well.
Thank you Jolandi, for your kind words. We are “hanging in there” and doing OK. We hope all is well with you and yours too.
This photo embodies perfectly the notion of spring 🙂
Thank you! I am happy you enjoyed it😊
🙂
Wow! You captured a beauty. Love the bright color on the background! Hope you and your family are managing the crisis!
Thank you Noelle!
This was taken early evening immediately following a powerful rainstorm. When the sun finally peeked out from the clouds, we seized the opportunity to take a moment to breathe in some fresh air and stretch our legs.
It seems that our bird friends had similar thoughts. Green pheasants are often so skittish and shy, but I think this fellow was enjoying the sun🙂
Thank you for your kind words – we hope you and all your loved ones are staying healthy and safe❤️
🙂 🙂
Very Beautiful !!! 😉
Thank you!
❤
I particularly like the first photo of the bird apparently peering at you peering at him! Lovely to be peeping at the bird with you through the vibrant vegetation.
Thank you Carol! Green pheasants are so skittish and shy and (quite understandably) very wary of humans. I was so happy this fellow allowed me a few moments with him 🙂
Lovely and special moments too.
Very beautiful! Spring is here!
Thank you!
Yes, it appears Lady Spring has finally arrived. This was taken during early evening immediately following a powerful rainstorm. When the sun finally peeked out from the clouds, we seized the opportunity to take a moment to breathe in some fresh air and stretch our legs.
It seems that our bird friends had similar thoughts. Green pheasants are often so skittish and shy, but I think this fellow was enjoying the sun 🙂 Blessing to you and your family.
They are beautiful birds. Peace and wonderful blessings.
beautiful!
Thank you 🙂
Geweldig! Amsterdam * 24 april 2020, 17.45 uur …
Thank you for your kind comment!
Yes, as you say, the Pheasants are very shy and fly away quickly. I was very happy to “see” this handsome bird.
I am happy there are pheasants in Holland, and hope you will view the Pheasant again in your city soon!
Exquisite.
Thank you❤️
Such amazing portraits – the vivid color contrasts, detail, and poses are so intriguing and beautiful, Takami.💜
Thank you Carol. It really was timing and luck. This was actually early evening immediately following a powerful rainstorm. When the sun finally peeked out from the clouds, we seized the opportunity to take a moment to breathe in some fresh air and stretch our legs.
It seems that our bird friends had similar thoughts. Green pheasants are often so skittish and shy, but I think this fellow was enjoying the sun 🙂
Hope all is well with you and your dear ones.
💜
Lovely. 🙂
Thank you dear friend. It was during a moment of evening sunshine after a very stormy day. I think this fellow was also enjoying a few moments in the sun 🙂
Nicely focussed
Thank you 🙂
With that wonderful background, he looks like a royal pheasant.
Thank you Mr. Hien!
Yes, he is a green pheasant, and really looked like royalty. He was trying very hard to impress Lady pheasants 🙂
Thanks for sharing this bright, splendid moment, Takami. Hugs on the wing!
Thank you Teagan! Your comment made me smile. Hope all is well with you❤️
Wow! He’s a beauty!
Thank you Jill!
This Green pheasant was especially handsome. He was trying very hard to impress Lady pheasants 🙂
Beautiful Pheasant!
Thank you Brian! He really is a handsome fellow. I wish I could relay to him how admired he is even by humans 🙂
Just tell him you never know he may understand.
🙂
