  1. Love the light in the picture Takami, Spring returns the light after the darkness of Winter, and your photo captures it, as the little bird drinks in the warm sun. This photo speaks to me of the next stage after the winter passes and we move forward into a new season of life, a bright new beginning, of hope and creativity.

    • Thank you Ashley, for your visit and comment!

The great reed warblers continue to wake us up with their boisterous “chorus” each morning. This fellow in particular did seem to enjoy the late afternoon sun while he showed off his warbling skills 🙂

Yes, I had hoped to convey a feeling of hope (especially given the current situation) with this image and very glad if you felt the same.

I just sent you an email – your wonderful bird book arrived safely! 😀

    • Thank you Carol❤️
The great reed warbler (despite its name) is quite tiny and blends in almost perfectly with his/her surroundings. In Spring, the males like to “serenade” the ladies with their bright orange beaks wide open — and quite a…ahem…boisterous “song.” 😀

This fellow was especially intense, I could not help but smile. I am always grateful to our surrounding wildlife for uplifting our spirits when most needed.

Wishing you and all your loved ones a safe and blessed week ahead.
