I missed this post earlier …
When I scrolled down through your posts, I stopped and said to myself that, this bird has some attitude (in a positive manner of course).
We could feel elegance and pride from the way the birdy slightly turned it’s head with an upright posture…
The sharp DOF also helped in this image…
Thank you so much for sharing and this image is worth the effort, Takami 🙂
Thank you so much Sreejith! I am very happy you were able to scroll down and see this shot!
Yes, it is as you say – this female Pheasant had quite an attitude! Usually they are quite skittish but she was full of confidence. Thank you again, for your visit and comment. Let’s continue to stay safe!
Beautiful photograph of the lady Pheasant. She looks so regal 🙂
As you know, pheasants are so shy, so it was a real pleasure to spend a few moments with this beauty❤️
I love the way she(?) walks. 🙂
Thank you! Yes, this is a female green pheasant – Japan’s national bird. The males have bright green and red colors, but I love the subtle brown of the ladies 🙂
I love your photos, Takami. I particularly liked the colors and the focus from this image. Have a beautiful and inspired day!
Thank you, Mihaela!
I appreciate your visit and encouraging comments. I am glad you also liked this beautiful female pheasant. She is quite the head turner 🙂 Wishing you a lovely week ahead.
Beautifully captured! Very nice aperture and composition.
Hello Jane,
Thank you for stopping by! I am pleased you liked our pheasants 🙂
Mrs. Pheasant seems to be enjoying her stroll very much, Takami. Or should I say Queen Pheasant? She has a very regal appearance and seems to be surveying her surroundings with a slightly haughty air.
Hello Tanja,
I’m so glad you could stop by and spend a few moments with this beautiful bird. I agree, she had an especially regal air about her 🙂
Hello Takami.
How lovely post! I do find it amazing! I love the perspective which you used and that’s why I feel like walking after it! Thank you.
Have a wonderful day!

Pheasants are quite shy, but she seemed to enjoy a quiet early morning stroll before heading back to the reed fields. She is beautiful, and I think she was aware of it 🙂
You’re welcome 🌸 She seemed inquisitive 🙂
Great portrait of a bold stroll through the urban neighborhood!
Thank you Carol 🙂

As you know, pheasants are quite shy, but she seemed to enjoy a quiet early morning stroll around the neighborhood before heading back to the reed fields. I am relieved she avoided traffic and crows.

Is that one of the babies?
Thank you for your comment 🙂
This is a fully grown female green pheasant. A different bird from the babies (who are called “little grebes”) but very shy and beautiful 🙂
Nice photo!
Framed nicely, Takami! I love the colors and the ‘strut’ shot! 🙂

I like the way you’ve used focus to compose this image.
Hello Mr P, so lovely to have you stop by 🙂
Thank you for your comment – it was nice to play around with composition for this image. The female green pheasant (quite usually!) didn’t appear to mind my presence. I do hope she knows how admired she is 🙂
