Hello Inese,
Thank you so much for your visit! As you say, it requires a lot of patience – but it was worth it! This handsome Kingfisher was quite the hunter, and he enjoyed showing off his skills 😀
Brilliant image, as always! 😊

Hello Takami.
Congratulations! Seven years forward is long time, but looking back it is short. In seven years can happen many things – hopefully good ones starting from this day! It has been a great joy me to enjoy your wonderful photos. Thank you.

Such a wonderful action photo, Takami. And despite the movement, the mirror image is actually somewhat in focus. Amazing!
Hello Tanja,
Thank you – I’m really glad you liked it!
I had hoped to make a “special” shot for my 7th blogging anniversary and this Kingfisher did not disappoint 🙂
You certainly did make a special shot, Takami. Congratulations on your impressive anniversary! I hope you will continue to blog for many years to come.

The sunlight reflected the brilliant colors of this Kingfisher 🙂 I am happy you liked it!
🙂
It’s another gorgeous, well-thought-out shot ❤ Happy 7th blogging anniversary!
Thank you so much Snow! Much appreciated❤️
What a fantastic action shot, Takami. I think I got splashed by some of those waterdrops. Love that it caught a fish.
Thank you Jolandi. I loved those big, fat waterdrops too. It almost seemed the Kingfisher was showing off his fishing skills 🙂
Beautiful Catch
Excellent shot as usual
Thank you! I appreciate your kind words 🙂
Wonderful capture!
✨☀️🙏🕉️♾️☮️🙏☀️✨
Thank you!!
Happy 7th WordPress anniversary, Takami! Your gentle presence here is a gift. Thank you for sharing your delightful photos for so many years. 🙂
Thank you Julie! I appreciate your kind words 🙂 I believe nature (and birds!) help bring out the best in us 🙂
This is a stunning photo. I love the reflection of the Kingfisher in the water! Superb! ❤
Thank you Carol! I am glad you liked the reflection too. It required a lot of patience to get this shot, but was certainly worth the wait 🙂 I hope you and all your dear ones continue to stay safe.
Wow Takami, that is a gorgeous action shot, what a capture ! Beautiful. It looks a little like our Sacred Kingfisher.
Thank you Ash! As you can imagine I had to be very patient to capture this moment. Fortunately, I didn’t mind “being patient” at all, because you know how much I love our common Kingfishers. I could observe them all day and never get bored 🙂
Ah yes, I can see why the sunlight reflecting the feathers give it a similar appearance to your Sacred Kingfisher. I love how there are so many distinct and unique birds in the Kingfisher family 🙂
Beautiful! Great photo!
Thank you so much 🙂 It means a lot coming from an artist such as yourself 🙂
Welcome and thank you!
Congratulations on the milestone, Takami, and wishes for many more! And what an absolutely spectacular image to celebrate with!
Thank you Dries! I never thought I’d keep up with this for more than a year or two, and am extremely grateful for the continued interest and support. Comments like yours are so encouraging!! Thank you and continued best wishes to you and all your loved ones.
I suppose the blogging world is the modern world’s version of “pen pals”, Takami, and we so dearly appreciate that you didn’t stop after a year or two!
Ah yes, pen-palling and the days of good, old-fashioned “snail mail” 🙂 I enjoyed it very much when I was younger, and some of my pen friends have become real-life best friends well into our 30’s 😉 The pandemic has suspended much of our outbound international mail, so I hope to resume sending airmail letters once things settle down…
I love the dramatic feeling in this image and the colors are so vibrant❤️
Thank you! I needed some positive encouragement and a dose of energy and Nature never fails to disappoint.
This fellow is a common Kingfisher. One of my favorite birds and often featured on my blog:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Common_kingfisher
They are tiny birds, but with quite an attitude 🙂
Spectacular. The bird looks almost triumphant and fishing is obviously hard and dangerous work.
Thank you Carol!
This common Kingfisher was extremely good at fishing – and he knew it!
From my human perspective, he seemed to relish the admiration and attention. He did work very hard and seemed extremely pleased with himself 🙂
🙂
To witness Nature at work is a gift and to share it with everyone is being generous.
Thank you so much for your comment. It is a real privilege to witness Nature at work and I am happy to share the moment with others. Thank *you* for generously sharing your thoughtful and thought-provoking writing.
Best wishes,
Takami
Wow!! fantastic capture Takami, love it!
Thank you Brian! Kingfishers have a special place in my heart and this fellow seemed quite proud to show off his fishing ability 🙂
Super shot 🙂
Great timing, Takami !
Interesting title too. Thank you for sharing 🙂
Thank you Sreejith 🙂 You’re right, timing is everything and I had to be very patient for this photo 🙂 I’m glad you thought the title was interesting.
Really wonderful!

Wishing you and all your family a blessed day and week ahead.
Thank you Takami, and you also! Peace and wonderful blessings!

Common Kingfishers are very popular here and it’s always exciting to seem them in action 🙂
Sensational!This photo is truly amazing.
Thank you! I appreciate your comment 🙂
Wow great catch and capture 💜
Thank you dear friend ❤️
Kingfishers are pretty amazing little birds.
No worries from me steeling creative works 😉 Is that a hummingbird snatching a minnow ❓
Hello Washe,
Thank you for your comment 🙂
This is a “common Kingfisher”
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Common_kingfisher
Adult birds are around 17cm – they are tiny, but pretty amazing birds 😀
Best wishes from Japan,
Takami
That is a stunning photo capture! You never cease to amaze us, Takami!
Mr. Hien, you are too kind! 😀
