What a beautiful way to celebrate the world wetland day! I love both the composition with the egrets and sandpipers, and the little guy resting on the pole ❤
Thank you dear friend!
As you can imagine, we have lost much of our wetlands over the years 😦 I do hope that we as a species can learn to take better care of this world (and each other).
The wetlands are our most vulnerable habitats. Humans are so greedy:(
What wonderful shots! 🙂
Thank you very much 🙂
I love that little guy on the wooden post. You got him in the perfect pose. X
Hello Jo, thanks so much for stopping by! I am glad you notice the little Common Sandpiper. He was quite the charming fellow. Hoping you are staying safe and well.
Lovely photos, Takami. We need more wetlands and all their wonderful plant and animal variety.
I hope you are well.
Warmly,
Tanja
Thank you Tanja! I knew you’d recognize the importance of wetlands and how not only our wildlife friends, but we also rely on a healthy balance. Trying to keep hope for our human race…
Thank you for your warm wishes, it means a lot.
Thank you, Takami.
Yes, let’s hope for the best.
Beautiful images of the birds by the water, Takami. Love how you framed the second shot. It almost looks like the bird is standing around snow. Great work. Hope you are doing well over there 🙂
Thank you Mabel. I am pleased you enjoyed some views of our waders, and especially glad you liked the second one. He was a charming little fellow and was “destined” to take center stage 🙂 We are staying safe here, and hope it is the same for you and your dear ones too.
I like how you said the second charming little fellow seemed destined to take center stage. He does look like he likes the limelight. Hope you get to see him again one day 🙂 We are safe and well over here. Take care and looking forward to seeing more of your work.
Happy Valentine’s Day
Thank you! 🙂
Super photos .. 🙂
Thank you!❤️🌷
Love your birds!
Thank you so much, I really appreciate it❤️
That second little guy is amazing. Glad you’re doing so well with your photography. 🙂
Thank you! I’m very happy you liked the little guy in the second photo – he really was a charming fellow 🙂
Lovely!

Thank you!!
Lovely to see this little guy again Takami, it is an exquisite capture, and holds so much character. Enjoy your weekend my friend.
Thank you Ash! This little guy really made us smile and I was waiting for the right time to feature him on a post. Our nature centers are also commemorating World Wetlands Day this weekend.
Sadly, we’ll refrain from travelling, but will look forward to the next mini-birding adventure. We also hope you are enjoying your weekend!
💖🤗
Thank you!!
You’re very welcome!
So serene and peaceful, Takami.
Thank you Jolandi! I wanted to show our our actions as a species affects both “groups” of birds and birds at an individual level. The lone sandpiper really did radiate an aura of serenity and I am happy you could feel it too 🙂
Very inspiring, thank you 🙂
Thank you Sylvie 🙂
🙂
Your bird close-ups have so much character. I actually identified a heron flying overhead the other day!
Thank you Noelle! This comment means a lot to me, and I am so glad you identified a heron flying overhead! They are really amazing birds 🙂 🙂
🙂 🙂
Great shot of the Sandpiper!
Thank you, Mr B 🙂
This fellow had an especially pleasant “roundness” to him. I am glad you enjoyed a moment with our waders 🙂
Exquisite and heartwarming.
Thank you Carol. Really glad you could stop by. I hoped to show how our actions affect both groups of birds and individual ones too. Our best wishes to you and your dear ones as always.
💜
Wonderful.
Thank you my friend.
Amazing photos!!!!
Thank you very much! I am happy you enjoyed our water birds.
🌹🙏🌹🙏🌹
I love that plump little sandpiper, Takami!
How are you?
Hello Dries!
Thank you for your visit and message! I am glad you loved the little “plump” sandpiper 🙂 My husband and I both agree he had a very pleasant “roundness” and looked quite content 😀
We are doing OK, and taking it one day at a time during the ongoing pandemic. We hope you and your wonderful family are doing well. Your photos are always a highlight to my day!
I’m glad to hear that you are OK, Takami! We are too, thanks.
Both images are beautiful, and the Sandpiper one is just about perfect.
Hello Mr. Hien,
I appreciate your warm words, and am glad you noticed the little common sandpiper. They are considered quite “common” among shorebirds here and a more subdued than the other shorebirds. However, I love their subdued and refined beauty, and this bird was very beautiful and didn’t mind the camera 🙂
Beautiful blog
Thank you!
Stunning photography. 🖤🙏
Thank you 🙂
