This is the type of breathtaking spring snow nobody minds! 😊
I agree 100% 😀
Lovely pictures. Sorry for my ignorance, but what place is this?
Thank you for your comment! Your question is not ignorant at all. These photos were taken at (or just outside of) Tobu Zoo. It’s a lovely zoo park that’s located in Saitama – about 2 hours by train from Tokyo 🙂
Best wishes,
Takami
Gorgeous blossoms. They really look like snow. Your photography is magnificent. 🙂
Thank you dear Irina! I appreciate your stopping by and taking the time to comment 🙂

The blossoms are beautiful, and you have captured them so well. But then, you always do. I hope you have a wonderful spring filled with many amazing photo opportunities to keep a smile on your face and a warmth in your heart.

OMG Takami; I love these; thanks so much for sharing these; they are so synchronized and bloom all together at once!
Thank you very much Maria ❤
Sigh! How beautiful photos!
Thank you very much! I am happy you liked them 🙂
Gorgeous, gorgeous. Our cherry trees’ blooms are so fleeting, but our weeping cherry is in full boom and starting to rain pink snow!
Thank you, so happy you liked this series 🙂 The weeping cherry must be so pretty!
This is just spectacular. I was in Japan a couple of weeks ago and I saw the Sakura blossoms for the first time- it was truly amazing! I took some photos too but not as great as yours!
Yes, I saw the photos on your site, and they are wonderful! 🙂 Thank you so much for your nice comment, it made my day 🙂
Your uplifting spring photos here are an absolute delight, Takami. 🙂 🙂
Hello Jet,
Thanks so much for your lovely comments. I’m so happy these photos could bring a smile to your face 🙂 Best wishes to you and Athena 🙂
Wow…. How I wish I could have been there right now…
Tapped Post my mistake…
You would make the most wonderful photos!!
Hahaha… I don’t have the eye like you!
Absolutely gorgeous, spring blossoms! Beautiful photos, Takami… 🙂 Have a wonderful weekend 🙂
Thank you so much, dear Iris 🙂 I hope you’re having a lovely week!
Thank you, Takami. 🙂
It’s snowing cherry blossoms, so nice!! 🙂 ❤
Thank you Christy ❤
So happy you liked it! The cherry blossoms are all gone now, but it was so pretty while they lasted 🙂 Now, if only it would stop raining… 😉
Hi Takami, How are you my buddy! All good? .. What a beautiful shot. I am glad you had taken those shots!! Very beautiful! 🙂

Absolutely gorgeous dear Takami! Happy friday … All the best to you. Aquileana 🙂
Thank you dear Aquileana ❤ Wishing you a happy Friday & weekend too 🙂
Oh, how beautiful, Takami! Cherry blossoms are the hallmark of spring. And you have captured that sentiment perfectly! Thank you for sharing ❤
Thank you for your lovely comment 🙂 They were so pretty while they lasted 😀 Hope all is well with you, and of course the Osprey family too 🙂
This is so beautiful, so absolutely beautiful.
Thank you Ruth, your comment means a lot. Sending hugs and prayers your way ❤
These are some incredible shots Takami ~ and love the title, fit the mood so perfectly. The first shot is spectacular with the use of the reflection and stillness of the scene, and along with the people and the cherry blossoms also gave me this great feeling of spring and happiness. But my favorite shot is of the blossoms in full bloom kissing the blue sky ~ Cheers to a great coming weekend!
Hello Randall, TGIF 🙂
Thanks a lot for your feedback. I’m glad you liked the ‘spring snow’ title. As a young girl, I always imagined the blossoms to be big snowflakes 🙂 Apologies for the ignorant sounding question, but aren’t there cherry blossoms in HK too? Hope you have a great weekend. Tokyo is expecting more rain 😦
I like your story as a young girl, nature is such a great teacher for the mind. There are some cherry blossoms here, but nothing at all like in Tokyo (or Washington DC) ~ cheers!
How delightful to be able to walk among such beauty!
Lindy
Hello Lindy ❤
Thanks so much for stopping by. They cherry blossoms were amazing this year. It was so much fun to walk among them, and the sunny weather made it even nicer 🙂
Have a lovely weekend,
Takami
Beautiful signs of Spring!
Thanks for your comment! Yes, they were so pretty while they lasted, and hopefully this will mean consistently warm sunny weather 🙂
Beautiful pictures. And I love the title too. 🙂
Thank you! ❤ I always thought the blossoms looked like big, fluffy snowflakes 🙂 So glad you enjoyed them.
You caught them ! Yea 🙂 The equivalent of these where I live is the apple trees in bloom. They are not as prolific producing flowers as the cherry trees..they are still another month out. I will make sure to take some pictures and tag you when I post them on my blog. DM
Thank you Mr. DM 🙂
Oh, I’ve heard of apple trees (blossoms) but have yet to see them. You make them sound so pretty, and I’ll sincerely look forward to your photos. I subscribe to your blog via e-mail, so I’ll look forward to the notification 😀 Wishing you and your family a great weekend.
Best wishes,
Takami
Can’t wait to post some for you. I have apple pictures in my photo archives on the computer but will take some new ones just for you! DM
Oh, the cherry blossoms! Just gorgeous!
Thank you so much Sarah! Wishing you and Choppy a very happy Spring weekend ❤ 🙂
Have a wonderful weekend as well!
Beautiful! Beautiful! Beautiful! Spring looks amazing where you are. What are these flower called – they are stunning.
Thank you Inger ❤ These are 'sakura' cherry blossoms. They symbolise the start of Spring here in Japan. Although they are very pretty, their peak season is very brief – only about a week or so. Although we can only enjoy them for a short time, it helps me to appreciate them more 🙂 Wishing you a great weekend!
Best wishes,
Takami
I love these flowers…wonderful click!
Thank you! These soft pink blossoms made everything look so pretty 🙂
Absolutely! 🙂
Very beautiful! Thanks a lot! 🙂
Thank you very much for your comment! 🙂
With pleasure! All the best, my dear! 🙂
Oh, how utterly beautiful—now that’s my kind of spring snow! Absolutely stunning, Takami! I wish I were there to take in the proliferation of cherry blossoms for myself—such delicate beauty. I love the blue sky backdrop. I’ve been looking forward to these photographs. I love every shot—simply a wonderful series. What a fabulous way to start my day. Wishing you a very happy spring day, my friend! :))
Hello Jeannie ❤
I am so happy you had a chance to see these. Oh, you'd most definitely love the cherry blossoms, and you'd make gorgeous photos of them, no doubt! I hope you and your partner will have a chance to see them with your own eyes someday. As you can imagine, just about everyone with a camera was out making photos last week, and there were some amazing shots. I tried my best to convey my personal experience of enjoying these big, puffy 'snowflakes' 🙂 Wishing you a glorious Spring weekend!
Good evening Takami.
You’re right, long live the spring and its colors
and the sun that warms us.
Beautiful cherry blossoms, they are great your photos.
I wish you a good day.
Hervé
Thank you Hervé. It makes me happy you liked the cherry blossoms. I wish for you a perfect Spring weekend! 🙂
Not only have you captured the cherry blossoms so beautifully, but I love your title of Spring Snow. That is exactly how it feels and it comes through so eloquently.
Many thanks Josh. I’m happy you liked the title. The blossoms always looked like snow (big, puffy snowflakes) to me. Since Tokyo didn’t get any real snow this winter, I thought why not daydream that the cherry blossoms are snow? 😀
Seattle had nice cherry blossoms too, but nothing compared to Japan, or so I hear and have seen in pictures. Where I live, there are a few, but not many.
Oh, I can imagine the cherry blossoms must have looked gorgeous in Seattle. I’ve heard they have some nice views in Washington DC too – although that’s the other side of the US 😉
In my humble opinion, cherry blossoms (and all nature) look equally beautiful regardless of location. I’ve heard South Korea has some great views, so maybe next year I’ll be able to hop on a plane and see for myself 😉
Well I hope you get to make the trip. And I agree with you, but it is just a matter of where the trees grow well, and how many there are. The pics from DC do look nice, the only time I was there, it was well past blooming season.
Love this scene Takami!
Thank you Mary ❤ Your comment means a lot.
Beautiful cherry blossoms 🙂 I’m fascinated by these flowers.
Thank you Gin! I hope you’ll have a chance to see them someday. You’d make great photos! 🙂
Oh, Takami, these photos are beautiful — simply amazing! I would LOVE to be there to see these flowering trees. We don’t really have anything like it where I live (well, in other parts of our city we do, but not close enough for me to see on a daily basis — and I would so love to look upon these beauties daily!). Thank you for sharing! I think I can almost “smell” them through the screen! LOL Maybe you need a “scratch-and-sniff” app! 🙂
Hi Deb,
I’m glad you liked them 🙂 The cherry blossoms are lovely, and make just about everything look pretty and even ethereal 🙂 Sadly, the season is rather short, so most of these are already blown off the tree. I suppose it’s what makes us appreciate them more, because we know it’s only for a limited time. As always, thanks so much for your comment! ❤
Yes, the beauty is short-lived … but oh, so worth it! Takami, I thank you for allowing me to enjoy them forever, having captured them through your lens!
Beautiful! 🙂
Thank you! 🙂
Lovely blossoms. I was in Tokyo many years back in this season. It is really beautiful..
Yes, even the ugly concrete jungle can look pretty once a year 🙂 Now, if only I could do something about the huge crowds… 😀 Thanks so much for your comment!
The crowds? That is a difficult one!
A girl can dream, right? 😀
Oh, definitely!
Beautiful flowers 🙂 I always love them!
Thank you Indah! You’re so kind 🙂 And I’m glad you like the blossoms 🙂
Hi Takami. These shots are so beautiful! I especially like the one with the people walking beneath the blossoms. The cherry blossoms in DC are not this pretty yet, but they’ll be in full bloom soon. Hugs! 🙂
Hi Teagan,
I’m so glad you enjoyed this little series. The cherry blossoms bloomed earlier than usual this year, but no complaints from me 🙂 I can imagine it will be so pretty when the blossoms are in full bloom in DC. Maybe you’ll take some photos? 🙂
Thanks a lot for your comment,
Takami
Beautiful ! Truly ! Thank you
Thank you very much for your comment! 🙂 ❤
